OK side table width looks great but it butts up too near the forum table. Could you push it a little left - so that there is a couple of cm gap breathing space between them? And I'd prefer it not to move when you open and close the window width, ie stuck to the left fixed. Thanksssss! And sorry for my fussinessss! ETA is there any chance that the top banner and the forum table can line up and the side table is just along the side but a few cm away from the forum table as mentioned above? If you dont know what I mean I'll do a preview image again. It's my designer training, everything has to be aligned! lol no can do

since the side table is created by wrapping the main forum table in another layer of tables then making the side table the first cell and the main forum table the second cell the position of the side table is dictated by where the main forum starts. It looks higher because the header image pushes down the main forum table and the nav tree although invisible still takes up space.
Also the side table is as far left as it can go because it is itself encapsulated by the topmost table which is not editable since it starts before any header.

Darrrrn it darn!! LOL! I knew it was going too well! OK. Erm. Sorry then but can you put it back to how the side table was before you fixed the width as it least it wasn't so close to the forum table. - am gutted but I prefer it to be away from the forum than have a fixed width. Thanks for explaining though. x

Looks fine now in Opera and FF but doesn't look reverted in IE for some reason!

I assume you're referring to the absence of scrollbars for a few seconds. That's because the rendering engines have to wait for the scrolling content to be calculated first before the height of the page can be calculated. Much more noticeable in IE than FF and as of now I can't think of any way to remedy that.

It wasn't the scroll bar absence so much, it was the forum contracted for the first few seconds before returning to its correct size and therefore you get it jumping on the page loads.... No worries, just something to get used to. The board does seem to be running a little slower this week, if you have any tips on how to get it faster I'd be happy to hear it.

I just never noticed that but then I rarely use IE. If you want to speed up then remove content The more content then the longer to download LOL!!

Hello Eton, hope you had a good few days. I wondered if you could do me a quick fix where I hide the content of the last 2 cells of the Staff board on the main site of MM for those who do not have access inside the board? Just to confirm, where it says - '92 Scrolls' and 'Sorry you do not have permission to access this area', I would like both of those to be completely blank in the Staff board only for people who do not have access to the board (otherwise would be harder to see if there is a new post and who posted last etc. for those who do have access). I would like to keep in the new cell link where I will be having the 'contact staff' icon. Here is a preview of what I mean: For people who do have access to the boards, it would just look as normal. Do you need a list of people who have access to both of the subboards in that board in order to do the fix? Thank you. Link: puremalfoymanor.proboards106.com/index.cgi#nonrpPS. Dont forget to post up a new riddle in the secret chamber and games room if you can find the time perhaps this weekend.

Eton, small but important. Can you edit the miniprofile table so that there are no header/footer images on the table below the avatar only? I don't think I can avoid the stretching unfortunately and think it would be best to get rid of those 2nd lot of header/footers. Anyway, I think it would look neater and less fussy without the 2nd pair. Are you able to do these 2 fixes tonight/tomorrow? Since Im dropping the codes in on the main site on monday GMT morning first thing. It would be great if you could. If you can't get to them before Monday, could you do your edit on the main site? (obviously you can still use this board to test it first)

The problem is any code modification made to do the staff only board edit will most likely have to key in on the board ID in order to distinguish it from other boards and no board on this test site has the same name as the staff board on the main site. The solution would obviously be to use the beta forum since it has all the boards replicated but I can't for the life of me find the PM you sent with the url to the beta board.
Also another heads up: Proboards began rolling out the new version 4.5 two days ago starting with server 48 (least amount of forums) then presumably starting from 1 on up. The process is expected to take one to two months so all further edits should be done on the beta site since it will show what works and doesn't work in the new version and merely tested here to make sure it still works on the old version before applying to main site.
Did you plugin all the codes on the beta site yet? I recall you mentioning a few minor glitches but I couldn't view for myself since the srver was down for upgrades.

The solution would obviously be to use the beta forum since it has all the boards replicated but I can't for the life of me find the PM you sent with the url to the beta board. I could always make a 'staff board' here with the same ID as the main site? In fact I think you have full admin powers here and can create boards here if you ever needed to. The test board was taken down for some reason: mmrpgv3test.beta.proboards.comI have no idea why. PS. I sent you the link in a PM on this board, not the main site incase that was where you were looking for the PM! I really needed to use that board for testing too but as I said above, it went offline within about a week of me signing it up and now its just completely gone!! Yes I did, and there were a few things that were a bit dodgy - the 'extra' star set code didn't work and I think there was something else wrong in the profiles. There was something wrong on the main page but it seemed to fix itself after a few days. Also - because this was a few weeks ago now, the codes I dropped in weren't up to date since we've both made alot of edits since then. If you know how I can get the beta test board back then that would be great. Probably should have asked on PBS but I just saw 'test server offline' so assumed it wasn't available. BTW, thanks for the miniprofile edit, and the collapsible side table - both perfect! RE the staff board thing it's just a cosmetic thing really but if it can be done by making an identical board here, that would be cool. If you could also post one of your great riddles in the Secret Chamber that would be brilliant (someone else did one for the games room! Secret Chamber password: manysecrets). Nearly there now. Fingers crossed it all goes well tomorrow.
